Thanks to all who came out to see and ride on the freshly certified Thompson Engine!
After a morning water pressure test, State L&I witnessed steam to lift our 150psi pressure relief valve granting us a fresh certificate of operation! Many thanks to everyone involved in the first steaming in sixteen years of this Forney type locomotive.
Big thanks to the Anacortes Museum, City and Dakota Creek Industries for making this day possible.
We’ll be putting the engine into hibernation for the winter with operational plans to come.
